Audience(s): K–8
Grade Level(s): Teachers, instructional coaches, curriculum leaders
Literacy shows up in math, art, social studies, music, and science —
not just reading and writing. STEAM aligns standards across disciplines
and emphasizes equity, inquiry, and creation. Integrating literacy with STEAM
supports deep comprehension, academic language, and interdisciplinary thinking.

STEAM with ELD
Audience(s): K–8
Grade Level(s): Teachers, instructional coaches, curriculum leaders
STEAM accelerates language development by embedding Tier 1, 2, and 3 academic
vocabulary across multiple content areas. English learners thrive when they can
communicate thinking and problem-solving in many modes — verbal, visual,
collaborative, hands-on — not just through written English.
